Grow Your Credit Repair Business with TESTIMONIALS: Proven 3-Step Process!

By: Daniel Rosen Last updated: October 10, 2023

How would you like to have a marketing team promoting your business for FREE?

Well, on this week's Podcast, I'm going to show you how to turn your clients into a hype machine that will grow your business even faster!

In the 20 years since releasing my first credit repair software, I've helped thousands of businesses build from the ground up.

During that time, I experienced the same challenges that many of you face, but I learned ways to overcome them and succeed.

One of the most frustrating problems I had was not having enough time or money to market my business.

When you're just starting a business, there's always so much to do that some things get missed, not because they're less important but because your time is so limited, and there's always a fire to put out.

For me, marketing always got lost in the shuffle. I didn't have a team of people supporting me. So, if there was a problem with the software, an issue with a client, or any other high-priority task, I had to drop whatever marketing project I was working on and fix the problem myself.

I quickly realized that my lack of marketing time was holding my company back, and I learned a valuable lesson: Everything is equally important to a small business. You can't neglect anything!

So, I had to find a way to make the most of the time and money I had.

That's when I discovered the power of Testimonials!

Testimonials are social proof that your service works. They don't cost any money, they're quick to produce, and they can even strengthen your relationships with your clients!

That's why today I'm going to share my proven 3-step process for getting great testimonials and turning them into even more clients!

HOW THIS RELATES TO US

People trust people more than sales pitches. They're more likely to read or listen to a testimonial than a sales pitch.

Testimonials, like reviews, act as word-of-mouth recommendations and are the most effective form of marketing.

I don't know about you, but most of the money I spend is when I see a testimonial or a review. Mechanics, dentists, restaurants, you name it. Testimonials drive their success, and testimonials can drive the growth of your Credit Repair business.

How do I know they work? I still use them! Credit Repair Cloud uses short, written testimonials in our social posts, emails, and newsletters.

We use longer video testimonials on our websites and in promotional videos.

image2-2

Credit Repair testimonials allow clients to see someone who came before them achieve their goals! They inspire and demystify the process! And they prove that your system works!

But how do you get these amazing testimonials and use them to increase your revenue? Well, first, you have to earn that testimonial!

THE THING TO REMEMBER

Businesses often fail because they try to get away with doing the least amount of work for the highest price. But money follows value.

So, if you provide great service and overdeliver value, your business will stand out, and your happy clients will almost always provide a testimonial when you ask. But you have to ask!

WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT

You have to ASK, and you have to get comfortable asking!

Ask every single happy client for a written and video testimonial. That way, they can choose which to provide and not feel pressured.

Credit Repair is a stressful process, and bad credit can be embarrassing, so some clients may not be interested in making their experience public.

But in my experience, Credit Repair victories are celebrated, and happy clients become your biggest cheerleaders and drivers of growth!

For every client that says "no thank you," three or four will give written and video testimonials!

If you're feeling intimidated about asking for testimonials, remember to treat the client the same way you've always treated them.

Communicate the same way. Point out how much their credit has improved. Congratulate them for accomplishing their goal. Remind them that it's your mission to change lives through credit repair, and they can help you help others.

Tell them it would mean the world if they could record a quick video on their phone or write a short testimonial sharing their experience!

If they say "no," tell them you understand.

If they say "yes," thank them and provide anything they need to get the testimonial you want.

That's it!

If there are specific client testimonials you really want, you can even sweeten the deal with incentives. These don't have to be big or expensive.

It could be something like Credit Repair service discounts for their friends and family!

Believe it or not, a $20 Starbucks gift card goes a long way for even the most reluctant client.

So, now that you EARNED the testimonial, ASKED, and RECEIVED it, the only thing left to do is SHARE it!

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Be proud of the work you did and the results you got. Share testimonials everywhere! This isn't my opinion. This is a proven tactic.

It's called Modeling Success. I saw bigger companies using testimonials to drive sales, I modeled their tactics, I put my spin on it, and I watched it work for me.

Modeling Success can also work for you!

I mentioned earlier that we use written testimonials in our social posts, emails, and newsletters. You can do the same thing!

You can add your three newest written testimonials to your monthly newsletter! Or you can create one email congratulating a specific client!

Listeners of the show know that I read a new Credit Hero Spotlight in each episode.

These Credit Hero Spotlights might be considered testimonials, but they also allow me to celebrate real wins shared with our Facebook Community, and they're my favorite part of each episode!

Check out the audio version of the show if you'd like to hear this week's spotlight!

I also mentioned that we use longer video testimonials on our websites and in promotional videos. You can do the exact same thing!

You can post each new video testimonial on your Facebook pages, Instagram Stories, or LinkedIn and other social channels.

Post them everywhere you believe your potential clients will see them!

When you post testimonials, just remember to always include a Call To Action and provide the link to your website!

The Call To Action can be a simple question like, "Who else needs a higher credit score?" or "Struggling to get into a home like my client Maria?"

Follow that question with a link to your website, and everyone who sees it will know what to do if they're interested.

When those leads become new clients, repeat the process! Soon, you'll have a huge team of people promoting your business for free!

If you want to learn more ways to market and grow your credit repair business and six months of Credit Repair Cloud software for FREE, sign up for our Masterclass!

MY FINAL POINT

Testimonials are the most effective form of marketing. Earn them by overdelivering value. Then, ask for them and share them everywhere. Pretty soon, a smaller company will be modeling your success!

Okay, let's get into this. In the 20 years since releasing my very first credit repair software, I have helped 1000s of businesses build from the ground up. And during that time, I experienced the very same challenges that many of you face. But I learned ways to overcome them and succeed. One of the most frustrating problems that I had was not having enough time or money to market my business. When you're just starting a business, there's always so much to do that some things get missed, not because they're less important but because your time is limited. And there's always a million fires to put out. For me, marketing always got lost in the shuffle. I didn't have a team of people supporting me. So if there was a problem with the software, or an issue with a client, or any other high-priority task, I always had to drop whatever marketing project I was working on and fix that problem myself. And I quickly realized that my lack of marketing time was holding my business back. And I learned a very valuable lesson.

Everything is equally important to a small business. You can't neglect anything. So I had to find a way to make the most of the time and money that I had. And that's when I discovered the power of testimonials. Testimonials are social proof that your service works. They don't cost any money. And now, for my favorite part of the episode. Every week, I feature one of our Credit Heroes inside our Credit Repair Cloud Facebook community so that you can see firsthand what real people are doing as they run and grow their businesses. And today's spotlight is on Ryan Milliken. I mentioned how much I love these spotlights, and today, I wanted to share a special one. Ryan posted a message in the community. It's a little long, but it's such a great story. I've got to share it with you. Ryan just helped a client beat son loan a payday loan company. He filed several complaints through the CFPB, and he stuck in some stuff demanding that Son Loan cease communication With his client, but Salone wouldn't stop calling his client about her complaints. So, about a month ago, Ryan filed another complaint, this time stating that these phone calls violated two legal codes that came with punitive damages of up to $1,000 per violation. Ryan explained they had already sued my client in a court in Oklahoma, but she lives in Arkansas. So we demanded as a settlement that they vacate that suit and eliminate all collection efforts as well as remove their information from my client's credit report. We gave them 30 days to do this, or we would be filing this in court for each violation under the statute. And we just heard back from them today, and they're sending a settlement offer. Not only are they ceasing collection on her account, not pursuing the judgment against her, and deleting the information from her credit report, but they're also going to pay her $1,500. I know it's a small win, but it's my biggest win so far. And Ryan, that's not a small win. That is a huge, mega life-changing win for your client. You are amazing. Be proud and shout from the rooftops. Post this testimonial everywhere, and keep updating us on your progress.
